DOMINIC MARTINEZ | Principal Solicitor
Dominic has more than 35 years experience practicing as a Solicitor in Queensland, and is a Solicitor of the High Court of Australia.
Prior to his admission as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland, he was articled at Wilson Ryan & Grose (an established, well respected Townsville firm) for 5 years. After 17 years practicing as a partner with the firm, he was appointed Property Law Consultant for Nicol Robinson Kidd in Brisbane’s CBD for several years.
Dominic has extensive experience in property law. He has been involved in acting for a number of property developers including major corporations and smaller local developers.
As a member of the Singapore Business Association of Queensland since 1997, Dominic acts for a number of overseas companies and individuals. He maintains regular contact with Singaporean and Malaysian businessmen, and has formed an association with a Singapore law firm with links to China.

Marilyn commenced practising as a solicitor in 2003 and has been with Martinez Lawyers since 2012. Her main areas of practice are property and commercial law including business sales and purchases, commercial agreements, joint venture/partnership agreements, commercial property conveyancing and leasing.

CATHERINE BURNS | Solicitor

Catherine has been with the team at Martinez Lawyers since 2014 following completion of her undergraduate degree with honours in 2012 from James Cook University.
Having grown up on an avocado farm in rural North Queensland, she has a passion for nurturing client relationships and seeking to treat all of her clients with respect and honesty.
Catherine practices across several areas of law including Family Law and is currently studying her Masters in Applied Law majoring in Family Law. She can advise on a range of family law issues including matrimonial and defacto property disputes, alternate dispute resolution options, divorce applications, financial agreements and parenting arrangements. Catherine prides herself on being thorough and well organised – two traits she believes are vital as a lawyer.
Catherine also provides clients with advice in relation to wills, litigation and general commercial matters. She is very approachable and is available for late afternoon appointments for clients with busy work schedules or other commitments.
MELITA LLOYD | Solicitor

Melita is passionate about family law, more particularly children’s matters. She understands the emotional strain that separation takes on a family. Melita focuses on cost effective and expedient resolutions for families. Melita is able to advise parties on the legal options and assist in reaching resolutions regarding a range of family law matters.
Melita also holds a Certificate of Mediation from the Queensland University of Technology. Melita is a member of the Family Law Practitioners Association and Women on Boards.
STELLA GIUSEPPIN | Conveyancer
Stella has over twenty years of experience as a conveyancer in Queensland. She is friendly and easily approachable and can provide customised service from pre-contractual stages until post-settlement.
She has acted for many corporate clients including developers right through to first home buyers. Stella is renowned for her direct and honest approach and superior client service.
Stella speaks fluent Italian.
KRISTEN MITCHELL-SCOTT | Legal Secretary
Kristen has been with Martinez Lawyers since 2011 and is in her final year of her law degree. She has completed her Bachelor of Arts majoring in Japanese and Criminology.
Kristen supports the Martinez Lawyers staff in all areas of practice and is highly skilled in meeting the needs of our clients in a timely and efficient manner. She says that she “really enjoys being able to apply some of the knowledge she has gained in her legal studies to real life situations”.
Kristen is able to assist Japanese speaking clients.
Kristen has also volunteered with the University of Queensland Student Services where she was responsible for ensuring student leaders appropriately mentor new first year students in their successful transition to university life. Outside of her work and studies Kristen enjoys reading, listening to music and catching up with friends. She is also an avid Queensland Reds supporter and has been a member since 2012.
